tombola, the operator behind the UK's biggest bingo site - sunbingo.co.uk, had over 45 years in the bingo business. But until now it had only operated behind the scenes. When they parted ways with The Sun, tombola decided to go it alone and relaunch themselves as a consumer brand to stake their claim on the £90m online bingo market.
JDA had to develop a recognisable brand from scratch. Something strong enough to stand out in the crowded online bingo market. We focused on the idea that bingo players want to play for longer and the variety of the fun fair. This enabled us to deliver TV, radio, press and online material that was a million miles away from the stereotypical 'bored housewife' bingo ad.
As well as delivering both the creative and media, on and offline, for the launch, JDA has also prepared a full CRM programme to welcome new players and keep them coming back for more. It's too early to say how the relaunch has performed, but we're confident that tombola can expect a full house!
